The Era Lady Hornets came up just short in their bid for a first-place finish at the NCTC Holiday Classic. Era fell to Howe 46-41 in the championship game.
It was a rematch of a first-round tournament game on Thursday that saw Era pull out the win.
The Lady Hornets had no real answer for Howe's height advantage with four players at least 5-10 including a 6-2 and another 6-3 post.
Howe led 30-22 at halftime and 36-32 going into the fourth quarter.
For Era, Briana Knabe had 13 points, Sandra Christian had 12 points on four 3-pointers, Maddie Chisum had 9 points, and Kiara Franklin added 7.
Howe senior guard Jenna Honore scored 11 points and was named the Tourney MVP. Ally Harvey added 14 points, Trinity Williams had 8, Cassidy Anderson and Sierra Copeland both had 6, and Landry Sanders added 2.
