GIRLS

Collinsville 93

Lindsay 58

The Collinsville Lady Pirates finished the first half of District 12-2A play undefeated thanks to a 93-58 home win over Lindsay Friday.

Senior Carrie Johnson scored 40 points for Collinsville including 37 in the first three periods.

The Lady Pirates exploded for 31 points in the second quarter to take a 55-31 lead at halftime. It was 76-41 by the end of the third.

Brittany Fields added 25 for Collinsville, and Katy Claytor scored 11.

For Lindsay (2-3 district), Allison Hedrick scored 20, Rachel Hutcherson had 18, Kyla Metzler added 7, Story Tatum had 6, Maggie Krahl and Skylar Tatum each scored 4, and Riley Anderle added 1.

Valley View 50

Sam Rayburn 46

The Valley View Lady Eagles trailed Sam Rayburn almost the entire game, but made key plays down the stretch to pull out a 50-46 district road win Friday.

Valley View was down by 17 in the first half before pulling with 10 (30-20) at halftime. The Lady Rebels pushed their lead back to 15 at 40-25 before Valley View made their comeback, outscoring the home team 23-6 the rest of the way.

Valley View is now 4-1 in District 12-2A play, just one game behind Collinsville.

Era 52

Poolville 36

The Era Lady Hornets went on the road Friday and picked up a 52-36 win over Poolville to finish the first half of district play with a 4-0 record.

Era will start the second half of district Tuesday at Chico.

Muenster 52

North Central Texas Academy 43

The Muenster Lady Hornets took a break from district play Friday and traveled to Granbury to take on North Central Texas Academy.

The Lady Hornets came home with a hard-fought 52-43 win.

Muenster is now 25-4 overall and 3-1 in district. They start the second half of district play Tuesday at home against Alvord.


BOYS

Lindsay 55

Collinsville 25

The Lindsay Knights had no trouble with Collinsville Friday, winning 55-25 to remain unbeaten in district.

Lindsay led 35-14 at halftime and continued their strong play in the second half.

Seth Foster led the Knights with 18 points, Clinton Wallace added 9 and Tyler Yancey scored 7.

Lindsay is now 3-0 in District 12-2A, while Collinsville falls to 0-3.

Poolville 56

Era 48

The Era Hornets went on the road and dropped a district contest to Poolville Friday 56-48.

Valley View 41

Sam Rayburn 33

The Valley View Eagles improved to 2-1 in district play with a 41-33 road win at Sam Rayburn Friday.

Valley View led 25-12 at halftime.

Clint Epperson led the Eagles with 14 points, Cameron Byrom added 10 and River Callihan scored 7.

Callisburg 62

Pottsboro 45

The Callisburg Wildcats picked up a big district home win Friday by defeating the Pottsboro Cardinals 62-45.

The win improves Callisburg's record to 20-7 overall and 2-4 in district. It is the first time in 10 years that a Wildcat team has reached the 20-win mark.
