Darin Allred is a sports media veteran in Cooke County, having worked at both KGAF-AM and KXGM-FM Radio in Gainesville, as well as serving as the Sports Editor of the Gainesville Daily Register. He has broadcasted football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University. While in college, he did morning sports reports on Z102 and KFYO. He also did play-by-play of Lubbock high school football games. He served as the Sports Information Director at South Plains College, and a Media Relations Specialist at North Central Texas College. He is the Website Coordinator for NJCAA Region V Athletics. He also owns and operates DA Sports Marketing LLC, a management company that puts on athletic tournaments and camps. Darin is a Past President of the Texas Tech Alumni Association - Cooke County Chapter, a member of the Board of Directors of the North Texas Medical Center Foundation, and the Board of Directors of the Gainesville High School Alumni Association. He serves as a Gainesville Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, and in 2017 he was named the Citizen of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Gainesville Kiwanis Club.
